How to control Windows 10 background processing

The latest version of Microsoft's Windows operating system, Windows 10, has some aspects that are quite inconvenient for the user.

  • No measures were taken to control automatic updates; Which was in windows 7 and 8.
  • The default setting of Privacy setting will save your operating data to Microsoft server which is a clear violation of your privacy.

Here is a solution to the first problem i.e. automatic update control.
The solution of the second will be given in the next post.
There is no option to turn off Windows automatic updates in computer control panel and settings in windows 10. However, you can control it by adopting a slightly different method. Therefore, if you permanently disable the service responsible for the update, your automatic updates will be turned off. In the same way, you can turn off all background data connections in Windows.

First you find the services option from the Start menu and enter it.

This will bring up a window like below.

From here you have to disable two services.
1. Windows Update
2. Background Intelligent transfer service

Double click on the Windows update service. Then another window like below will appear.

Click on the stop button first. Then select Disabled from the dropdown menu. Then exit by clicking Apply> OK.

Now your Windows will no longer update automatically. If you want to update, you have to automate Disabled.

To turn off background data, a service called Background Intelligent transfer service must be disabled in the same manner as above.

Warning: - You will not be able to work in Microsoft App Store while these two services are disabled. To log in and browse the Microsoft App Store, you must first enable and start these two services. You can disable it again if necessary after the work of the app store.
